Astrolinks

A quick tour of the app

Astrolinks is one calm window with a sidebar. Each page shows what you need right then, with one main button for the next thing to do.

The Help page with the quick tour open on its third of six steps: Summarize my day

One window, one sidebar

Everything is a page beside the sidebar:

  • Today: everything counted today, with your day in one bar. Pick a client for anything, or delete what you don’t want to keep.
  • Tasks: what you plan to do, and goals for your day or week. See tasks and goals.
  • Summary: each client’s end-of-day report, ready to check and send.
  • Hours: how long you worked for each client, for invoices.
  • Breakdown: an optional, closer look at your day.
  • Clients: who you work for, their rules, time zone and report.
  • Plan: your plan, what you have used, and the plans you can choose.
  • Settings, and Help at the foot, with the legal pages.

At the bottom of the sidebar, Astrolinks says whether it is counting, with Pause beside it. Close the window and it keeps counting in the menu bar, under the hourglass.

Get started, then a tour

A new copy opens with a short welcome, then a Get started card in the sidebar with five steps, each ticked once done: start counting, turn on window titles, add your clients, make your first summary, and set up AI if you want it.

Take the tour in Help plays six short scenes, one sentence each: work as usual, pick a client, summarize your day, change it by chat and send, plan your tasks, and pause any time.

Comfort for long shifts

  • ⌘K opens the command list on Today, Summary, Settings and Hours. Type a few letters of anything you can do, or a client’s name, and press Enter.
  • Text size: Default, Large or Larger, in every window at once.
  • Remind me to take a break after 90 minutes of steady work, or what you choose. Off until you turn it on, and never during a call or outside your shift.
  • A reminder when your shift ends, so you clock out on time.
