Astrolinks

A closer look at your day, only if you want it

Turn on the detailed breakdown and Astrolinks shows each document, sheet, ticket and meeting you touched, with its time. It is off until you say yes.

The Breakdown page for one day: kinds of work, focus blocks on the hour rows, and the items worked on
The app, with example data.

It asks first, and says exactly what changes

The breakdown is off by default. When you turn it on, Astrolinks shows what will be added and what never will be, and keeps the time you said yes.

While it is on, the window in front is checked every 2 seconds instead of 5. For each entry, Astrolinks notes how much of the time had keyboard or mouse use in the last few seconds (hands-on) and how much did not (reading). It learns this from the idle time your computer already reports. Never which keys, never how many, and no new permission.

What you see

  • Each document, sheet, email thread, ticket, code file, chat channel, meeting and page, with its time, visits and longest visit.
  • The kinds of work in your day: focus work, communication, meetings, research and admin, with breaks apart.
  • Focus blocks: 25 minutes or more on one thing, underlined on the hour rows.
  • Interruptions, and how often you switched an hour.

Yours to use, or not

Sort and search each client’s items. Copy and Save as CSV take the items and their times, never the hands-on share. In the summary, Include the detailed breakdown adds a report’s items to it, and it is off each time. Hands-on and reading time never go into a report, to AI or to a company.

Turn the breakdown off at any time, and delete what it kept. The rest of Astrolinks works the same without it.

The detailed breakdown is part of Pro and the 7-day trial. What each plan includes.

Questions about detailed breakdown

Does it record my keystrokes?

No. It only uses the idle time your computer already reports, to tell hands-on time from reading. Never which keys, never how many.

Does it go into my reports?

Only when you switch on Include the detailed breakdown for that report. It is off each time, and hands-on and reading time never go.

Can my company see it?

No. A company or team never sees the breakdown.
